Better than the Marriage Ref
I think it’s great that a new tv show, The Marriage Ref, is focusing on couples and their tiffs. Part reality TV and part situation comedy, the show will present real couples with real problems. With Jerry Seinfield as Executive Producer, who describes the show as "...looking at something very real, but in a fun and interesting way..." the show will employ comedy; people will laugh. Bringing in celebrities will make it all a big “production” and should prove highly entertaining.
But, will the couple still be laughing when they get home or will they be even more stuck and feel “used,” or frustrated that they had hoped the show would make them feel better about their issues -- but it didn't?
I love the idea of the show, but my concern is more about helping the couple find real solutions to their issues. Therefore, I’m offering something slightly different – helping couples in areas where they are stuck BUT without the comedy and glitz. With me they’ll get, skilled professionalism, concrete assistance, and a big dose of truly feeling understood. In addition, they will also understand how they had gotten stuck – and how to get out.
This will be starting in the Spring. BUT, I need your help. So, here's a contest to help me pick a name. Email me as many choices as you want, and I’ll pick the one that fits the program the best. The winner and several runner ups will all win a copy of my latest book, Why Don’t You Understand? A Gender Relationship Dictionary – PLUS a free consultation with me – on OR off the air.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
