Single Women: Do You Have A Brother or Sister?

Hey, does it feel like I'm writing too much about siblings?  Well, you are right, I am.  I am passionate about helping brothers and sisters get along better.  So I'm glad to share whatever information I can to help brothers and sisters get along.

Previous blogs have been about National Siblings Day.  They have been about not getting along with your siblings.  This one is specifically for single women.  When there is not a loving man in your life, you need to find other ways to include the nurturing that is vital to our essence.
You do not need it from a man, but you do need loving and connection and nurturence.  And, the people who have been in your life longer than any other relationship are your siblings.  Your shared history, your shared family life experiences, provide the potential basis for that nurturence now.

If you also do not have children, then your nieces and nephews as well as your brother or sister, could be providing an important part of your emotional nurturence.  Yet, if you don't get along, you may be more aware of what is missing than they.  It's easy to get caught up in married life and forget the importance of those who spent hours playing war or who were with you when you broke into the neighborhood swimming pool at midnight.

If you are on good terms with your siblings, congratulations.  Stay connected.  However, if you are not, don't give up, regardless how much your sister has rejected every effort you have made to get along.  Join me and my guest, Sherri Langburt, from SingleEdition.com, in preparation for National Siblings Day, when we are talking about how your brother or sister makes you feel like a child again. Look forward to talking with you on Wednesday, March 24.
