There are some advantages to getting older

When I was younger, in my 20s and 30s, I worried people would think me "wishy washy."  If asked what movie I wanted to see, which restaurant, the best route to get downtown, my favorite author -- I rarely had an opinion.  But, most of the time, I really didn't care.  So, always answering, "I don't care," left some people (I assume) thinking me "wishy washy."

Once I passed 50, I realized WW wasn't my problem.  I'm just easy-going.  If I had a strong opinion, I spoke up, no doubt about that.  But about most things, I really didn't care.  And, having to make a decision that made little difference to me became problematic.  (Post-menopausal, decision making became a real problem for me.)

What a relief.  No more PMS and no more having to decide where to eat!

Now, there are drawbacks to getting older, but that's for another day.
